About Allison

Allison is a food, nutrition & culinary expert.  She is a freelance nutrition writer, speaker and recipe developer and is often quoted in the media, including Shape magazine.   

Allison earned her masters in Nutrition Communications from Tufts University.  She has a background in the culinary arts and received her B.S. in Culinary Nutrition from Johnson & Wales University.  In previous work as a chef, Allison created delicious and nutritious meals for guests at premier health spas, including Canyon Ranch in the Berkshires and Champneys in England.  As a private chef, Allison helps clients to achieve their dietary goals without sacrificing taste. 


Currently, Allison works for the Almond Board of California, spreading the message about the health benefites of almonds. 

In her spare time, Allison enjoys spending time with family and friends.  She loves traveling the world; recent trips include Japan & Argentina.  Allison stays active through reformer pilates, zumba, hiking & skiing.
